There are many different income-based repayment programs for students who would like to keep their credits and credentials. These programs are commonly referred to as student loan forgiveness or a way to refinance student loans through consolidation.
Students who are unable to repay their debt are granted partial and even full student loan discharge of their loans in some cases. Examples would include being permanently disabled or defrauded by your school.
Annual tax verification is due in order to maintain your position in the income-based student loan forgiveness program. Debt consolidation is available for students on the forgiveness program who have yet to consolidate their loans.
